Do You Hear What I Hear?
(Noel Regney; Gloria Shayne)
Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see?
'Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing thru the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song
High above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people everywhere
Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light.
This appears on Christmas with You.

From Wikipedia:
Do You Hear What I Hear?" is a Christmas song, with words and music written by Noel Regney and Gloria Shayne in 1962. It was originally recorded by the Harry Simeone Chorale in 1962. However, Bing Crosby made a hit recording of the carol on Capitol Records on November 22, 1963 and released a week and a half later on a then-new Christmas album. Over the years, the song has been widely played on the radio. The original version has been available on numerous compilation Christmas albums and compact discs put out by Capitol Records.
The song was later covered by many different artists, including the Hampton String Quartet, Andy Williams, The Carpenters, Gladys Knight, Perry Como, Copeland, Martina McBride, Delta Goodrem, Whitney Houston, Linda Eder, Destiny's Child, Céline Dion and Rosie O' Donnell, Anthony Way and Rosie O' Donnell (with special guest Elmo). There's an instrumental cover by Michael Angelo Batio. In recent years, the original version has become less popular than later covers. Also there are many different versions of the sheet music, including sheet music for piano, guitar, trumpet, and tuba.
