Up the Wooden Hills to Bedfordshire
(Rick Springfield)

Up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire
The tired children climb
Up the carpet mountains to sleepy town
Its head nodding time
Beds are waiting quietly
Beneath the oaken beams
To hold you through the night
And wrap you up in dreams
and when the morning comes
Everything will still be here
So up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire

Up the mountain stairs to wonderland
The sleepy children go
Up the carpet hills to noddingville
We're tired and we know
Beds are bobbing gently
Like ships along the shore
To rock you into dream land
and take you explore
The world among the stars are crystal clear
Now up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire

Up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire
The tired children climb
Up the carpet mountains to sleepy town
Its head nodding time
Beds are waiting quietly
Beneath the oaken beams
To hold you through the night
And wrap you up in dreams
and when the morning comes
Everything will still be here
Now up the wooden hills to Bedfordshire
